Lancashire Spinners are pleased to announce that Lance Haggjth has agreed to join us as Club Ambassador.
Lance’s current activities include his valuable work as founder of the charity Sports Traider and the popular Hoops Aid, an annual celebrity fundraising event.
He’s best known for his significant contribution to British Basketball over several years, receiving many accolades including being a winner of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Unsung Hero award and most recently receiving an honorary doctorate.
Lance says ‘I am very pleased to become part of Spinners Basketball. I have been associated with several clubs over the years and like to be involved where I feel I can make a real difference. Spinners has everything that I am looking for in a club, including a great community spirit, plenty of enthusiastic energy and a real passion for the many aspects that basketball brings’.
Spinners spokesman, Steve Wheatley added ‘Lance is in good company, as his son Reiss Haggith joined us in the summer. Reiss, formerly of Manchester Giants and Leicester Riders is a talented player and set to become a firm favourite with Spinners fans’.
